This particular style is known as jaamavaar, with dense embroidery covering almost the entire garment. Skillfully handcrafted with love and warmth in Kashmir — a land renowned for its centuries-old fine arts — each one hundred percent pure pashmina cashmere shawl is one of a kind, and is spun, woven, and embroidered entirely by hand.

Depending on the kind of weave and embroidery, it may take an artisan anywhere from a few weeks to several years in order to fashion the finished piece.
