This particular style is known as kashidakaari, with embroidery across the two vertical edges, and accompanied usually with a sprinkling of paisley or floral motifs in between. Skillfully handcrafted with love and warmth in Kashmir — a land renowned for its centuries-old fine arts — each one hundred percent pure cashmere scarf is one of a kind, and is embroidered entirely by hand.

Depending on the kind of weave and embroidery, it may take an artisan anywhere from a few weeks to several years in order to fashion the finished piece.
