This particular style is known as meem-dore, with embroidery on all four borders of the garment, paired usually with a paisley or floral motif in each corner. Skillfully handcrafted with love and warmth in Kashmir — a land renowned for its centuries-old fine arts — each one hundred percent pure cashmere shawl is one of a kind, and is embroidered entirely by hand.

Depending on the kind of weave and embroidery, it may take an artisan anywhere from a few weeks to several years in order to fashion the finished piece.
